Describe your experience. (Did you find it beneficial? Difficult?) Why or Why not? Would you recommend this to others? Why or Why not?
After listening to the loving and kindness CD the exercise was beneficial and enjoyable. I must say it was relaxing as it put me to sleep at the end. My mind was set up on my daily tasks at work. I work with customers all the time and at times their attitudes are so demanding and must be prepared to be positive all the time. The increased sense of love to my 2 children and myself as a family.
2. What is the concept of “Mental Workout? What does the research indicate are the proven benefits of a Mental Work Out? How can you implement mental workouts to foster your psychological health?
I believe that mental workout is an own - going study and people differ the way we benefit from it. One thing I have known now is that I can not stop learn the mental workout as I will benefit more when I can do it better and not sleep in between. I believe when I finish this course I will have time to rest and have better set up arrangements for my day's work and then I can set up my workout time that will be suitable. I am practising the art of mental workout at work when I finish my lunch which is only 30 minutes for everthing. This is just to make sure that I keep on remembering how to do it. When I am at home during the week end I also try but my body still controls as I need more hours to sleep to get read for the following week.
I would recommend the the CD to others even if I had not enjoyed it because every one is different and if something does not please me it does not mean others can not benefit from it. Maybe after someone has benefited from it and shared their benefits I would try it again.
3. Participate in the Blogs of at least two other students. Provide them with feedback on their experiences. (Do you have any suggestions or support for them? How does their experience(s) compare to your experience(s)? What have you learned from their blog?)
I'm sure it is hard to meditate when you are so tired that you are falling asleep! Maybe you could try doing it in the morning when you first wake up (unless you're worried it might make you fall back asleep!). I know I have a lot of trouble quieting my mind and focusing on the meditation just because there are so many other things going on and I am not very practiced in it yet. Good luck!

Great post! I think you will do great when you have more time to practice mind exercises. The mind is a powerful thing. I do not have much time during my day to do exactly what I want. I will tell you though, a little bit of time meditating still makes a huge difference!
ReplyDeleteReally great post! When you get that self time take that time and go with it.Just a small amount of time to meditate goes along ways! I can't get my busy mind to stay still it wonders when I want to meditate, I like to pray first before dong anything asking the LORD to please clear my mind and let it stay focus on what it needs to be!
